We started the month of December by celebrating Bob's 30th birthday. Yes, Bob's officially the big 3-0! We just had a small family dinner and a birthday cake to mark the occasion. Addie loved helping to blow out all 30 candles and coloring a special birthday banner for her Daddy. For his gift, Bob got a case for his ipad.
On December 7th, we celebrated the Christmas season with our Ward. I was asked to organize the Ward Christmas party. It was a very simple event, featuring the theme of Feliz Navidad with a taco dinner and a short spiritual program.
In the eight years of our marriage, this was the first Christmas morning we actually spent in our own home. We got up early Christmas morning, in order to fit in all the day's events. Addie was a bit confused as we handed her gifts. She thought it was her birthday, but she quickly adjusted and had fun opening her gifts. She was very excited to play with all her new toys. We spent the rest of Christmas day attending church and spending time with Grandma and Pa Bassett and Aunt Katie and Uncle Richard. Uncle Nick and Aunt Lindi couldn't be with us and we missed them very much. (Hopefully my Mom will post some pictures of our Christmas festivities because I didn't take even one.)
On Monday morning the 26th, we packed up our car and drove to Logan, UT, to visit with Bob's family. Being about 7 1/2 months pregnant makes driving for 8 hours a bit uncomfortable, but it was well worth it to see everyone. Bob's parents and sisters drove from Georgia (so I don't really have much to complain about). We truly had a wonderful time and were able to visit with all of Bob's family in the area. Plus, spend some quality time with Grandma and Pa Weber, Aunts Kristin and Brianna, and Uncle JC and Cousin Carsyn.
