Christmas 2008

Tuesday, December 30, 2008

We had a very merry Christmas this year! We were lucky enough to spend an entire week in Lovell with my family. Before we left, we put together some goodie plates for our neighbors. Like many other families, it's a Christmas tradition in our family to deliver gifts and treats to neighbors and friends. Even though it takes time, it's so worth it - it truly brings the Christmas spirit.

We had a wonderful time with my family. We were all able to be there together. Bob and I left Logan on Saturday, December 20th, and we went and picked up Nick and Lindi from the Billings airport on Monday, December 22nd.

We had an eventful week. We, of course, did our regular Christmas stuff. Plus, we went shooting, and my youngest sister, Katie, showed us all up. We had a get together with friends at the local bowling alley which was a blast. I'm thankful for all those who partied with us - good times! We were also able to get together with my Aunt Donna and Uncle Jodee's family. They're always a ton of fun! I'm glad that we were able to see them.

We are grateful to my parents for having us and making our Christmas fabulous. It's a blessing to be able to spend Christmas together. We love you, family!

Congratulations, Bob!!! On Friday, December 12, 2008, Bob participated in the hooding and commencement ceremony of the Graduate School at Utah State University. Bob earned a Masters of Second Language Teaching degree. I am so proud of Bob and his accomplishments. Bob has been very successful in his program, and I am grateful for his hard work. We are looking forward to the next phase of our lives, as Bob will be applying for teaching jobs, and we hope to be moving in about June 2009.

My parents were able to make the trip from Lovell to attend Bob's graduation and open house. We are truly grateful for their love and support. My parents helped to make Bob's open house a success. As many of you know, my Mom has a lot of experience planning parties. :) We are thankful for those that came to the open house to share in our celebration. Congrats grad!! I love you!!!

Happy Birthday Mom

Monday, December 8, 2008

I know that I just did a birthday post, but it just so happens that Bob and my Mom's birthdays are only four days apart, and there's no way I couldn't wish my Mom a happy birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Mom!!! I love and appreciate my Mom. My Mom, like everyone else, is not perfect. But I know that she has strived to be the best Mom she can be, and that has made all the difference in my life. I have always felt loved and cared for by both of my parents. They have supported me in all of my endeavors big and small. I know that I can count on my Mom for help and advise in any situation. So thanks Mom for all your hard work!

I hope you enjoy your special day. Bob and I love you and are glad to call you ours! Have the happiest birthday!!

P.S. - Your birthday card from Bob and me will most likely be late, sorry. :)

Happy Birthday Bob

It will be Bob's 27th birthday on Thursday, December 4, 2008. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Bob!!! I wanted to express my love and appreciation for my husband on his birthday. I know that I am lucky to have such a sincerely good man as my companion. I far too often take Bob for granted, as he strives to make me happy by being an obedient and considerate husband. Those of you who know Bob know that he is one of the nicest people in the world. I am thankful for his talents, abilities, and characteristics. There is no question that Bob makes me try each day to be a better person simply through his example and actions. I love you, Bob! Happy, happy birthday!

I thought it would be fun to share some photos of Bob's childhood birthdays :)!
