Merry Christmas from The Weber's

Monday, December 21, 2009

MERRY CHRISTMAS! Our Christmas card was designed by my talented sister, Lindi, and the photo was taken by my Mom. I took the opportunity to make our Christmas card Addie's birth announcement as well. Better late than never, right? I think that they turned out splendid. Thanks, Mom and Lindi.
Addie went to church yesterday in her little Christmas dress. We think she looked pretty darn cute, but we're extremely biased. Addie has been smiling more and more since about 5 weeks old, and she is now cooing and "talking" a lot which has been fun for her Mom and Dad. Bob can hardly wait till Addie is old enough to play and rough-house.

We wish you and yours a very merry Christmas!

2 Months

Friday, December 18, 2009

This past Monday, December 14th, Addie was officially two months old. She is growing and changing so fast. Addie's two month check-up was last Friday, December 11th. She now weighs 10 lbs 8 oz and is 22 1/2 inches long. She's in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. During her appointment she also got her immunizations which was sad to watch. Addie is happy and healthy.

Some of the fun things that have happened in the last month include: Thanksgiving and Addie's blessing, Bob's 28th birthday, another baby shower, and getting ready for Christmas. We were able to go to my parents' for Thanksgiving. It was Addie's first big road trip and she did great. We had a fabulous time with my parents. My mom made a tasty Thanksgiving dinner and Addie liked all the extra attention from Grandma, Grandpa, and Aunt Katie. While we were there, we blessed Addie. It was nice having extended family there for the blessing. Bob did a wonderful job blessing our sweet girl.

On December 4th, Bob turned 28. He's slowly inching his way to 30 which totally freaks him out. I made one of Bob's favorite meals, baked spaghetti, and his requested birthday cake, white vanilla pudding cake with real whipped topping and strawberry sauce. Bob also got cards and birthday cash from our family. I hope that he had a happy birthday!

Two women from our ward in Torrington hosted a baby shower for me and Addie. It was so nice of them to give me another baby shower. Ladies from our ward came and gave Addie some great gifts. It was fun to get to know some of the ladies in the ward better.

We put up our first big Christmas tree. For the last six Christmas seasons, Bob and I have only had a miniature tree. It was nice not having a huge tree being in apartments and moving around. But now that we have a big house, it's great to have a big tree. My parents got a new pre-lit tree and we got their old tree. I only bought a few new ornaments this year and will need to slowly accumulate more ornaments for next Christmas. I think that our tree turned out okay and it definitely helps to bring the Christmas spirit into our home. Merry Christmas, to all!

At Home With Addie

Wednesday, November 11, 2009

Addie is 4 weeks old today and will officially be 1 month old on Saturday, November 14th. It's hard to believe that 4 weeks have already gone by. I can only imagine how fast she will grow up. The first month has been a whirlwind of emotions - mostly happy ones. Being new parents is, to say the least, an adjustment, but we're feeling a little bit better with the first month under our belt.

I'm extremely grateful for all of the love and support shown to us, with the birth of Addie. I'm especially grateful to my family for making the effort to come for Addie's birth. Also, I couldn't have gotten through the first week home without the help of my Mom. Thank you, Mom.

We have had a lot of "firsts" the past weeks. Below are pictures of some of our favorite moments so far.

Bob once again carved an awesome pumpkin. This year's pumpkin highlighted Jack Skeleton from "The Nightmare Before Christmas". Addie dressed up a little bit. Her skeleton onesie glowed in the dark. ;)
We love our little Addie and are excited to get to know her better. We feel very blessed and are thankful for the opportunity to learn and grow through parenthood.

(note: This post is copied from my moms blog)
Hi!! This is a shout out from Dani's house in Lingle, Wyoming. Katie and I headed down to Lingle yesterday and picked Lindi up at the Casper Airport as she flew in from Vegas for the week. It only took us 2 hours longer to get to Dani's house from Casper because of the WONDERFUL roads, which were covered in ice... BLACK ice that is... did you know that black ice is like the devil?... It's true, you can't see it but the evil is always there! Anyways... back to the story... we made it to Lingle SAFELY around 12 am. :)

As you can see, my daughters and I are having a good time creating this post together and you will see the same one on all of their blogs as well. NOW... the reason why we're posting...

INTRODUCING... (the FINISHING touches)... ADDIE'S ROOM!!!!!!!
Note: The colors in the following pictures don't show their true hue.

I picked out fabric for pillows to be made for the nursery and was hoping to find someone to make them. I hit the jackpot when I thought of Brenda, she did an AMAZING job!! The pictures don't do them justice, they are adorable and we all LOVE them!!!!...

The above pillow turns to the other side and it is pictured in the second picture in the rocking chair...they are all so cute and absolutely perfect!!!! THANKS Brenda!!!!!

The following items were made by Michelle and the ribbons were added by Lindi today. The ribbons are the same ones that were used on the pillows and we wanted to tie them into the room...

(I couldn't edit any of the pictures, because I don't have my computer...hence not soooo good...)

The following decor was provided by the talented Lindi...

Lindi made the name...addie...

The expectant mother, anxiously awaiting the big day which is this Wednesday!! In this picture, one can see that she is carrying Addie on the left side and in real life she looks a little funny!!! But she's always been a little special and we still LOVE her!!!

I'll keep you posted on the excitement from Lingle!!!

Coach Weber

Wednesday, October 7, 2009

Bob is the Assistant Coach for the 7th/8th grade Lingle/Ft. Laramie football team. The last game is tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th. The season is only five weeks long. The team's record so far is 3-1. The one game that they lost was by one touchdown in overtime to Southeast. This has been Bob's first official coaching experience. I think that he'll continue to enjoy coaching as time goes on, as he has been extremely overwhelmed these past two months with being a new teacher and such. Because of the small size of the team, Bob has really gotten into the practices by getting on the line. He has even sustained some injuries - bumps and bruises. I've seen Coach Weber in action, and I think he has done a great job! Go Bob and the Doggers!!!
