I have the good fortune to be the Primary President in our ward. I was called as the 2nd Counselor in Primary in December 2007 and then as the President in June 2008. I love Primary! Our Primary is super small - only 9 kids. We had our first activity of the year this past Saturday. The 2009 theme for Primary is "My Eternal Family". My Counselors and I had a fun idea to make puzzles for each of the kids using their family photos. The idea was definitely better in theory than in reality. It took us, five adults, three hours to make 11 puzzles! I know, ridiculous! We wanted the puzzles to have curved edges like the first photo below. But is took way too long to cut through the foam board. Therefore, we went to plan B - we cut only straight edges. Needless to say, we were frustrated by the end. It was all worth it, because the kids loved them!!! They were so excited to see their family photos. We let the kids color the boxes for their puzzles. It was a fun activity.

Looks Good!!
Cute idea...the straight edges still look really cool.
What a great idea! I didn't know you were the primary president. You and I should get together as we have a small primary too!
What a great idea!! Very cute. I hope all is well in Logan.
you have a beautiful family. seeing the simplicity and appreciation for one another is sobering. within the city so many are selfish and materialistic. i feel so numb to that which i once felt. i was alive once, and i spit on my blessings; for that i am ashamed. yet i am still young, learning so much of myself and human intuition as i meet droves of people from all times and places. i have nothing but sweet and yourhful memories of the summer we shared and i look forward to seeing you both again one day, whenever His will should have it. -Jonathan
